Yes, we released a version of Family Tree Builder 8 for Apple's Mac OS X (up to 10.14 Mojave). It’s exciting news, as many people use MyHeritage.com. It does Sync with MyHeritage, and has all of the normal features that Windows users of MyHeritage.com have in Family Tree Builder, with a few exceptions: maps, note formatting, book reports (offline), and right-to-left languages. These are most likely due to compatibility issues with the underlying Windows system files (see my notes below).

- It’s about a 175 MB download, with a very simple installation (open the DMG file, drag the application into the OS X Applications folder).
- This is not a truly native port – it is a Windows application using CrossOver by CodeWeavers to emulate certain aspects of Windows so that it runs under OS X, HOWEVER, a truly native OS X version is being developed, complete with a UI that feels more at place within OS X.
